I liked those, so I did some more, pulling from the Fandom Classics I've reviewed--so if you more-or-less keep up with the blog, hopefully you know at least enough about all the stories being mashed to recognize them, and to get the joke. Without further adieu, I present...

The Brief Apotheosis of Princess Applejack: Applejack has always known she was different, but in the wake of the Canterlot invasion, she's come to realize exactly what she is. Not only a changeling, but a changeling queen. Luckily, Twilight knows a spell to turn her into an ordinary earth pony for real, and everything goes back to status quo before the end of the weekend.
Sepia Tock: Night Shift: Sepia Tock is not Doctor Whooves. Which is too bad, because wrangling undead and keeping ordinary ponies from finding out about all the horrors living alongside them would be a lot easier if he did have a TARDIS.
Princess Celestia Hates Dash's New Mom: It's not really surprising that Dash is upset when she finds out that her dad and her best friend have started dating. It is a little awkward, though, when the angry letter she writes to Celestia about it puts Twilight in Celestia's doghouse.
The Last Human's List: The human lived alone in the iron city, tending to his food and surviving as best he knew. There was only one thing he'd never done: he had never kissed a pony.
Pink Eyes: University Days: An foal who's been dead for hundreds of years wakes up and, not realizing how much time has passed and worried that she's late for school, rushes off to class. Unfortunately, the site of her long-gone elementary school now holds a college campus, but she's too persistent, adorable, and frankly, too stupid to let that stop her from attending!
Roll for Integration: "Carmel, you can't just... I mean, I don't think there even are any rules for changing your race! Are you sure you don't just want to roll up a new character? ...Fine, the changelings, uh... they throw you in a pit, I guess. We'll get back to your character next session, once I figure this out."

Of Apples and Roses and Thick Purple Tyrants: Twilight reveals to the angry revolutionaries who have overthrown her kingdom the reason why she didn't accept Tirek's offer; the reason why she left her friends and Discord to die; the reason why the other princesses have never returned. Turns out it was the only way to win the Ponyville Poetry contest, and she really needed the bits.

I like Benman's idea for Chris the Unimpressive, but that'd only last for, what, two fics?
ReplyDeleteI don't know if it'd be funnier if page twenty-six didn't exist, or if it did but you fail spectacularly. I love the idea that you'd brush your hair back with Cheeto-stained fingers (or maybe greasing it back after wiping your oily face) and awkwardly trying to lift your leg up onto a higher surface to give her a view of "the goods". You might even tell her your high score on Guitar Hero, since chicks dig musicians
Out in the /co/: After surviving the banhammer, Sethisto returns to 4chan where he discovers ponies. He instantly falls in love with Twilight Sparkle and, forsaking Cynder, begins role-playing as Trixie to win her over somehow. There's also a bonus chapter where Phoe gets Seth pregnant

Do It Mattered If the Glass Blower Was?: Fluttershy calls Rarity out on her poor behavior towards the artist who's just trying to earn her favor. It turns out Rarity was a changeling all along, which is why she was so out of character.
